Is a Paint Protection -  And Literally Brilliant if you look after it  !!

IT IS  IMPORTANT  WITH DURASEAL IF APPLIED  ON YOUR MOTORHOME

  • To Not wash the vehicle  when it is Hot or in the sun
  • To Not put a cover over the motorhome when you have Duraseal
  • To Only wash with a sponge after you have hosed it down 5 minutes after
  • To Never wash the windows with a brush ( only with a  wet microfibre cloth  )
  • To Only wash motorhome with water No Chemicals
  • Every 9 months use the Duraseal wash - 6 capfuls in a bucket of water and wash down with a sponge
  • Dont spray the motorhome with water to rinse off - take end of spray fitting and just use water straight out of hose

FIAT  COMFORT-MATIC   -  (  6  Speed  Automatic  )

HOW  TO  LOOK AFTER THE  COMFORT-MATIC  TRANSMISSION   !!!

With over  5  million Fiat Ducatos  manufactured  as of  2015   , the  Comfort-matic  is a great  gearbox  - found worldwide
This  is  a manual gearbox  controlled  by a  mechanical robot  to change  gear
The numbers have proven the reliability , but if  not respected you will destroy the comfort-matic  clutch plate  ,
just like a manual clutch  where we have had a rental customer  destroy a  Fiat Ducato  manual  clutch at  2500km

.

The IMPORTANT  thing is  to drive it as per  manufacturers  recommendations  below
, not  as you think  , otherwise  you will have  problems  .
Too  many times  instruction books  are only read  , after a fault  develops
ALL our  customers are advised  from when vehicle is  New the following information at pick up

IMPORTANT  POINTS

  • Never -  Use the accelelerator to hold the vehicle  from rolling back  on hill  - ( waiting for lights to change )
  • Always -  Change to Manual  Gear  -  when climbing hills   ( to prevent  gear change hunting  )
  • Crawling through  townships  -   ALWAYS  - use  manual  gear  to change down  and stay in that manual gear

All of  these items  above  are important  for a long clutch life  , if  you do Not  adhere to manufacturers  instructions  you will be having
to pay for a New Clutch  .

We always advise our rental customers driving  comfort-matic  motorhome the correct  operation  otherwise , abuse will incur a fee for a new clutch ,
at the  hirers  expense  ,  a  comfort-matic  clutch was never  ever  replaced  in our  rental  fleet .

ARE YOUR BLINDS & FLYSCREENS HARD TO CLOSE  ON  YOUR ROOF VENT & SKYROOF   ???

  • Then it is time to lubricate the tracks with silicone oil  - VERY IMPORTANT
  • If  you dont do this then they will eventually break the flyscreen or blind  ( or the cord through the flyscreen )
  •   this is not a warranty item

In Your Ci Motorhome you have a Truma Frost Valve
What is the correct operation of this   ???

  • this is like a relief valve for your water cylinder - very similar to ajax valve in house
  • If the temperature drops outside to below 5 degrees the blue button will pop to prevent water freezing

DO NOT

  • Leave water pump on  all the time - turn off when your not in motorhome or going to bed
  • Leave Hot water turned on longer than 1 hour otherwise pressure will pop reset button .

  • When Blue button has popped out at bottom of frost valve -
  • push blue button back in
it wil not reset until  outside temperature has reached 7 degrees and above
( as illustrated above is correct setting )

Looking  for a Barbecue  for your motorhome  ??
Our choice without a doubt is a weber baby Q - the model with the thermometer on the lid -
this is ideal as it has a drop down lid in high winds and  it fits a full chicken
Very important to purchase a trivet  and foil tray at the time - place the chicken on the trivet - put the lid down and approx 1.20 min later it is golden brown colour and succulent

Do i need a gas outlet  for my barbecue  on my motorhome  ?
We advise not - the reason is that you are very limited  in that one place with a gas outlet on your motorhome  ,
you are better off not to have one  - you can guarantee the wind could change  once your barbecue is going and you could be all smoked out  in your motorhome , your best bet is to get a second gas bottle and you can place this outside where ever you want away from the wind.
If you still insist we can fit one - we will advise on price
